Terms and Conditions

1. LOCATIONS

Locations that we visit may not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Please contact us before booking an event for information on wheel chair accessibility. The Scottish Ghost Company will aim to provide as many of our events as fully accessible as possible, however due to the layout, age and condition of some of the buildings this is not always possible.  We have to ensure the safety of everyone at all times.

2. PREGNANT LADIES & AGE REQUIREMENTS

Due to some risks on locations from poor lighting etc pregnant women are advised not to attend our events.
No persons under the age of 18 are permitted to attend an event

3. DRUGS & ALCOHOL POLICY

We follow a zero tolerance policy for alcohol and drugs. If any guest appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs or is suspected of bringing alcohol or drugs to the event, they will be asked to leave immediately and no refund will be offered. The Scottish Ghost Company crew will use their own discretion and will have the ultimate decision to ask guests to leave whom they consider to be behaving inappropriately under such influences, regardless of any adverse weather conditions or travel arrangements home.

The Scottish Ghost Company do not allow smoking indoors, including vapes, at any of our locations. Candles and matches are also prohibited on events. 

4. ACCIDENTS, EMERGENCIES & LOSS/DAMAGE

The Scottish Ghost Company do not accept any responsibility for loss /damage to equipment , luggage, clothing, vehicles , mobile phones etc, before during or after the event, however caused. 

Accidents/illness do happen!

We would expect guests to stay within the allocated groups and do not allow guests to wander throughout the location without a member of crew. We accept NO liability for any death, illness, accident or injury to yourself however caused, this includes any damage that may be caused by any spiritual or poltergeist activity during the event.

Ghost hunting into the early hours can be exhausting so we therefore recommend that you either secure accommodation or book transport/car share .

5. PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEOGRAPHY

We encourage guests to bring their own battery operated equipment if they wish to do so but cannot allow equipment requiring an electrical power source. 
Our company photographer works on many events and may take photographs which, with your permission at the start of an event, we will endeavour to post on social media sites.

6. CANCELLATIONS

***Due to the Covid -19 situation The Scottish Ghost Company have the right to postpone any event under the guidance of the Government and the World Health Organisation (WHO). ***


The Scottish Ghost Company have the right to cancel an event at anytime for any reason at their discretion. This would also be applicable in the unlikely instance of an event not reaching its full selling capacity. Should we cancel, you will be contacted via the email given at time of booking, as soon as possible and will either offer you a full refund of any money paid by you or move your booking (once only) to another event /date of your choice if spaces available. Please note that if there is a difference in price between events then additional costs must be paid for by yourself. The Scottish Ghost Company will not be liable for any expenses you may incur such as accommodation bookings and travel costs. 

There may be an occasion when events are cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances ie adverse weather which are out of the control of The Scottish Ghost Company. If this is the case then a full refund will be issued of any monies paid by you but please note that refunds can take up to 7 days. However if the event is rescheduled then we may set limits on any refunds requested.

****It is your responsibility at the time of booking to ensure that you are able to make the event date as The Scottish Ghost Company cannot offer a refund or transfer your places if you are unable to attend. Our locations are paid in advance and we are liable for these costs even if you cannot make the event. All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. ****

7. DATA PROTECTION

Any information that we receive from you the guest or that is requested by us in relation to names, addresses, email addresses, or contact numbers will not be used or shared to any other party as per current data protection laws.

8. MEDIUMS & PARANORMAL INVESTIGATORS

The Scottish Ghost Company endeavour to offer a psychic element to our events through the use of our mediums and sensitives., however there may be occasions that this is not possible.

We use the most responsible and reputable mediums who value their honesty and integrity greatly. They can however only offer their own perspective and this should be considered when deciphering any information received on the event. You are responsible for making your own decisions according to your own personal beliefs and not of others. 

We cannot guarantee paranormal activity on any event and at no point throughout will any evidence/ spirit activity  be fabricated or equipment be tampered with. We value our honesty as a team and have worked very hard to build and maintain our exceptional reputation.

10. PAYMENTS AND REFUNDS

Unfortunately we cannot put your places back up for sale on our website if you are unable to attend. If you have paid in full then you can transfer your ticket to a third party of your choice but must inform The Scottish Ghost Company of the change of name of who will be attending. All third parties must be made familiar with the terms and conditions.

11. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS

Please note that unless it states on event Booking that it’s an OVERNIGHT stay there is no sleeping arrangements.

12. LIABILITY

If you, the guest, and all members of your party accept and agree to the terms and conditions you are further indemnifying the organisers /individuals from and against all liability in respect of any claims, damages, costs, penalties, actions, demands, proceedings, any kind of legal suits, losses or expenses amounted in respect of or arising out of an injury to or the death of any persons or damage to any property arising from the clients participation and involvement in the event of any activity or premises pertaining to the event. This includes damages and breakages caused by spirits or poltergeist.  We encourage all of our clients to have their own third party public liability insurance.   Although The Scottish Ghost Company has its own Public Liability Insurance, some of our policies may not be covered due to the fact at some of the location boundaries are not within normal public access categories.

13. CLIENT/GUEST BEHAVIOUR POLICY

We want all of our guests to enjoy our events and feel safe. In our experience, all it takes is one disruptive guest to ruin an event. We would therefore ask you to read and agree to the terms set out here and to share these with anyone who is coming with you. 

No poor or disrespectful behaviour will be tolerated as this can seriously affect the event and everyone else on the event. Anyone whose behaviour is thought to be disrespectful or inappropriate will be removed from the event immediately without refund and regardless of transport difficulties or weather conditions. We have a zero tolerance policy for alcohol and drug use prior to, or during our events and we are not obliged to prove that you or your guests are under the influence but we will take action on it.

Everyone loves a freebie now and again...so we have decided to run a loyalty card scheme. For every event you attend with The Scottish Ghost Company you will receive a stamp/sticker. Quite simply fill up your card and receive your free ghost hunt up to the value of £40.00 next time!

*Gift vouchers are non -refundable and non transferable.

*Vouchers can only be used once and no change will be given.

*Vouchers can be used to book an event with a higher value but additional cost be paid at time of booking.

*Vouchers are valid for one year from The date of purchase.

*Vouchers are valid up to and including the amount shown on voucher face

*Vouchers can only be redeemed by over 18s.
